What could be more festive than throwing stars, ninjas and explosions? Quite a lot really… but who cares when you have this brilliant survival challenge to play! In this continually scrolling action platformer you’ll need to fend-off enemies with you sword while trying not to get pushed off the edge of the screen as the bounce pad-covered world passes below you. As well as your sword, you also have to grab as many power-ups as you can to help you survive the onslaught as long as possible. A bit more variety in the randomly-generated platforming pieces would be a great addition to HAISUKEN, but the brilliant music, menu and HUD already make this level feel polished and, most importantly, it’s an absolute blast to play.
