Oh noes! LittleBigPlanet has been destroyed by H4H and P4Pers and the only hope to return the creativity to Craftword, is you! Make your way through this beautifully finished world to the old observatory and unleash the creative energy held within. Ebbing Creativity is a platformer with a great variety of fun gameplay and its bright, bold colours make it a joy to look at, as well as play.
hew! It’s been a busy month. As you will have hopefully already seen, Media Molecule announced the final nominees in the 2011 Sackademy Awards on Thursday and along with them, a set of videos showcasing some of the best creations the LittleBigPlanet community has given us this year. Well, those videos are the reason Rocket Cheetah has been so quiet for the past month and a half. So, sorry about that.
For the past few weeks you, The Sackademy, have been nominating your favourite levels and Creators for the 2011 Sackademy Awards. The nominations have been counted and Media Molecule today announced the final lists of nominees. Now it’s time to head back to LBP.me and cast your final votes.
Woah! To be honest I wasn’t really expecting a reply…
It’s Christmas Eve! Only one more sleep until you can get drunk by 10am, gorge yourself of turkey, eat chocolate until you barf at laugh at your Grandmother after she falls asleep on the sofa and farts all the way through Dr. Who. But don’t think just because it’s Christmas LittleBigPlanet news has taken a break this week. There’s still lots to cover so let’s get started…
I’ve got quite a short one for you this week. Maybe I went all ‘Higginbotham’ with the mince pies and have missed something, or maybe the LittleBigPlanet community has been on the mulled wine and are lagging a bit. Not to worry though, the stuff that we have got should be more than enough to keep you fueled-up for this cold Saturday afternoon…
In this platformer you’ll need to hone your precision jump and grabbing skills* if you’re going to make it to a respectable position on the leaderboard. It reminds me a lot of Tower of Whoop in the amount of replayability that comes from wanting to get that perfect run. I found myself restarting over and over again after the smallest mistake just to shave those precious few seconds off my time. And I love the look – the wooden aesthetic, although minimalistic, manages to look interesting and stay consistent.
That’s it. I give in. There’s no way I can get This Week in LittleBigPlanet out on a Friday and have any kind of social life, so it’s moving to Saturdays. That’s all that’s changing though – it’ll still be your go-to place for a round-up of the week’s news from the etherial dreamscape and this one’s no exception. In this edition we’ve got more contest winners, podcastng delights and an opportunity to join the team at Mm Towers.
This is a preview for an upcoming series of interactive movies from chatchito. Heavy Rain meets LA Noire in the tale of John Winters, an investigator for the Private-Eye Pirate Eye Detective Agency. In this short prologue we’re introduced to his first client and get a peek inside the melodrama of our protagonist’s life. The voice acting and bizarre humour is spot-on, but you wouldn’t expect anything less from the creator who produced the hilarious ‘Weekly Dose of Random’ series. I’m really looking forward to the first chapter when in launches, hopefully before the end of 2011.
